Cycle Against Suicide.
Cycle Against Suicide is an awareness raising charity cycle aimed at tackling suicide; with the cycle taking place across the country from Sunday 24th April to Saturday 7th May 2016.
• Starts & finish in Dublin
• Cover 1,400km over 14 days
With more than two thousand people expected to take part in the Cycle Against Suicide this year, a huge number of supporters have kindly offered to open up their homes to provide accommodation for free to those cyclists in need of a place to stay overnight.
There will be 13 overnight stays in total including; Wicklow, Wexford, Waterford, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Galway, Mayo, Sligo,Letterkenny, Donegal, Leitrim, Cavan, and Louth.
The cyclists will cover their own costs, and can participate in a section of each 50km leg, an entire leg, multiple legs, or even complete the entire cycle.
For the final night of the cycle, Friday 6th May, we need homestay beds in Arklow.
The details are as follows:
• Cycle arrives in Arklow on Friday 6th May in the late afternoon
• St. Mary’s is the host school where the cycle will arrive and depart from.
•The host family will be asked to collect the cyclist/s from the school. and offer an evening meal, shower with provision of towel and Bed & Breakfast.
•Finally the host family are asked to return the cyclist to St Mary's on Saturday morning at 8am
