East Wicklow Youth Services
are delighted to announce the
Official Opening
of the new
Vault Shop
and the
Vault Open Day
on
Saturday 10th of October.
The Vault Shop, (located on the Main Street beside the New Wicklow District Municipal Offices and Civic Centre) will be open from 10.30am, with the official Launch Ceremony taking place at 11.30am.
This will involve young people from various clubs and organisations around the commmunity who have achieved outstanding results for themselves and their clubs.
We will provide some tasty snacks on the day.
INVITATION
Everyone is then invited to cross the road to the Vault Drop-in Centre for tea and coffee,and to browse through our facilities in our premises at the Coomie lane beside Gammell Financial Services.
Some of the programs running at present include:
Drop-in centre where youngsters can hang out, play pool, listen to music, have a go on the Playstation, and drink juice along with a hot or cold snack.
The Music Program which is passing on life skills on how to play and perform with musical instruments to young people.
The Sound Group program which is hosted on the middle floor of the Drop-in Centre and works closely with the Music Program
The Art Group hold meetings every Monday in House 4.
The Youth Action Group hold their Monday meetings on the middle floor of the Drop-In Centre.
The Breakfast Club in the Local Primary School on the Coolgreaney Road
The Young Parent Centre
Cupcake Girls group which takes place in the Crosscare house No. 4
Bumble-Bees Parent & Toddler Club, which meets every Wed. in Aras Lorcain
The Marshlands After School Group meets every Wednesday just off Willow Grove
The "Pass It ON Music Project" get together on Wednesdays in the middle floor of the Drop-in Centre
The Rathdrum Youth Group
The Rythym Circle works with people with disabitilies and meet every Wed. on the Middle floor of the Drop-in Centre
Our Darts Academy caters for two age groups, 12yrs to 17yrs and 18yrs to 24 yrs and meet on the middle floor every Thursday
The Stepping Tones group drum out their beat every Thursday in Crosscares House 4.
The LGBT group meet every Thursday
School Transition classes, which prepare pupils for Secondary School takes place on Fridays in the primary school on the Coolgreaney Road
The MultiSports Club is held every Tuesday in the Primary School on the Coolgreaney Road.
UPCOMING:
Homework Club is scheduled for the new Glenart College and it is hoped to have this in place in October.
Camp Inver takes place again next Summer
ZamZone will be held in the days leading up to the preparations for the Junior and Leaving Cert exams next year
